Nautical tourism is one of the many leisure activities offered by the Balearic Islands. There is currently a high number of recreational vessels and yachts that drop anchor at many beauty spots along the Balearic coast, which are also of great ecological value. This affluence causes pressure that can sometimes be greater than the ‘load capacity’ of these areas and that has not yet been assessed.
